In February, Aaron received his mission call in the mail! He had family on a conference call and my sisters on Skype. It was so exciting to see him open it and everyone was so surprised with his call. We had a map of the world with guesses pinned to the different states or countries and no one guessed it! We all wanted him to go somewhere warm because he is always cold. Aaron really wanted to go French speaking. So here is the beginning of his letter....
Elder Aaron Michael Fraley:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the West Indies Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months. You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the French language.
Needless to say, he and everyone in the room was super excited! The expression on his face when he read that he would be speaking French was PRICELESS! His mission is in the eastern Caribbean and has a ton of islands. The mission includes Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, Martinique, French Guiana, and a bunch of other places! We are so excited for him and didn't expect that he'd go somewhere so tropical and exotic! It seems like such a cool mission! Congratulations Aaron, we LOVE YOU!
