Working hard

They're robbing me of a week! haha I think it's bronchitis again. I just have this dumb cough every time I talk. Sister Derr can tell you.I gave the lesson yesterday at church and coughed the whole time. Can't believe that was their last Sunday there! (Emily and Nolan come home April 21st. I'm so excited!) I'm excited for General Conference! My last one in the field....

Yeah, we skyped in for zone conference. I wish I could have met Elder Cornish... it was a really good conference though. We're all spiritually re-energized.

(transfers) I'll find out this weekend. I have a feeling I'm staying now.. haha I wouldn't mind that!

To make our teaching more powerful, Pres. Mehr has asked the whole mission, to use the words of Christ, by memorizing scripture. It's something I struggle with too... haha

I'm excited to meet the new ward, and to see the old one!

We rescheduled those dates. Next transfer! :) I'm not trunky one bit. The exact opposite actually.

The work is going well. Our teaching pool is enormous. In fact, probably the biggest one I've had. We're doing our best to keep track of them all!

We're blessed! Working hard. Following the Spirit.

Have a good week! Love you!

Exciting news!

We're going to have to push those baptism dates back.. They didn't come to church this week... But it's ok! They'll get baptized just now. Elder Glover and I had 2 great weeks in a row, but this week was a bit of a disappointment. Sickness took a toll on us. It's all part of the game though. We're hoping to have a healthier week. We've got some of our energy back. We plan on giving it all we got. I really enjoyed Zone Conference. Elder Glover and I have been really blessed. We've seen success with members that most missionaries in the zone aren't seeing in their areas. We're seeing lots of success with family mission plans and getting the members excited about missionary work. We had a VERY successful training meeting with the Branch Presidency and plan on continuing to do that with them on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, with the help of Elder Thompson.

No, haven't spent it yet. I don't think I've ever found money on the ground like that before. At least not from what I remember.

Po, I heard IU was knocked out... I'm surprised to hear Utah making it that far. We play a good amount of basketball here. Jonny can't take me... ;)

I got some exciting news.. sort of...

I come home a week earlier, June 25th! (Yay! Happy Birthday to me! Best present ever!) I think it's because of the mission split. I thought you'd be happy to hear that. haha Also got my departure questions today... so weird.. can't believe I only have 3 months left!! :(

Yesterday we had zone conference with Elder Cornish from the seventy! He's an incredible man.

We'll found out next Saturday if I'm staying or leaving.

Doing well! We're blessed!

Love you!!

Another successful week!

Another successful week! St.Martin is good! The zone is seeing so many miracles! Jean-Marc (the guy we contacted Elder Pratt's last Sunday night), is awesome! We're having a hard time getting him to church, but he wants to get baptized "by someone holding God's power" and wants to serve a mission. His date is for April 4th. We also met a girl named Kerlina who is getting baptized on the 4th too. We met her through George (btw, he's not progressing very well) but she's sweet! She is giving up anything we/the Lord asks (piercings, alcohol, cigarettes..) Just now. Ann-Marie is great! Still finding people for us to teach. Sabrina, her friend's daughter, has a date for the end of April. Flerita's friend, Dorita, has been coming to church and has a date for the 4th too! Member work! Who would of thought that stuff works.....

Found a ten dollar bill on the ground! that was cool!

We have a new branch presidency and they're all fairly new in the church, all less than 5 years. So Elder Glover and I have been training them in their calling. We had our first training last Saturday and they were able to apply the things they learned in Sacrament the next day at church. That was a success. the Lord is blessing us so much!

Well, Happy to hear everything is going good. I heard from Grayson, kaheana, and sam! They're all doing well.

Thank you so much mom!!!

Love you all!

This is truly the Lord's work!

We had a really good week! One lesson that I learned this past week was that this is truly the Lord's work!! I owe ALL my success to him. When we are disobedient, we are left to ourselves. Obedience, diligence, and exceeding faith brings miracles; and miracles were we blessed with. It had been a while since I had a week like that. I tried my very best to follow the promptings of the spirit and to be worthy of those promptings. We had fun.

Elder Glover and I are really excited, as things are picking up rapidly. The Lord is hastening his work in our area! We're just expecting to have success and to baptize. He has lots of experience leading and is teaching me so much.

My faith has been strengthened this past week. Almost to the point where it's unshakeable. Something I've desired for a long time. I'm very happy. :)

The Lord is blessing us so much

We have 5 dates for this transfer. 2 for the 28th and 3 for April 4th!

Elder Cornish will be visiting the mission this week and the next for zone conferences! Our zone conference is March 22nd, but we won't be going to Guadeloupe.. :( We're skyping in... Should be cool though.

Baptisms!! :D

Love you! Vous tous me manque beaucoup!! Je t'aime, maman! (I miss you all so much!! I love you, mom!)

Transfers and a new companion!

Transfers are always hectic. Glad and sad they're over. We welcomed in 5 new missionaries. We're going to see lots of success this transfer. We've got a good group of missionaries. Elder Glover goes home with me. He's from New Mexico. It's been 6 transfers since I've had a companion form Utah. He's great though. I'm really looking forward to working with him. I served around him in Martinique. He was my District Leader for my last transfer there. Great missionary. He likes baseball too!

Crap... Time's running out....

Yeah, I bought some new ones. If everything works out, my clothes should last to the end. Thanks again! I'll let you know in a couple weeks if I'll need some more.

We've had some good opportunities to get to know them. I knew most of the ones coming in. It was good to see and be with Elder Dayton, Broadbent, and Glover again.

Thought I'd share this portion of a talk given by Pres. Eyring in the 1998 Conference, that I read in my studies today. Hit me kind of hard.

"Why should speak to anyone about the gospel who seems content? What danger is there to them or to me if do or say nothing?
Well, the danger may be hard to see, but it is real, both for them and for us. For instance, at some moment in the world to come, everyone you will ever meet will know what you know now. They will know that the only way to live forever in association with our families and in the presence of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, was to choose to enter into the gate by baptism at the hands of those with authority from God. They will know that the only way families can be together forever is to accept and keep sacred covenants offered in the temples of God on this earth. And they will know that you knew. And they will remember whether you offered them what someone had offered you."
Well I hope those results come back without problem. Thank you for everything. Love you!
